What a day! I’m pretty sure I’ve never been this stretched out of my comfort zone, but here we are! I wore Candy’s Wisconsin shirt, because if you’re going to be directionally challenged, you might as well wear a shirt from someplace you’re not even close too!
I always thought corn and football were the number one things around here. Wrong! It’s road construction and freaking potholes. Ya get up to speed only to pedal down for miles of construction. The potholes bounce you around like a toddler in a jump house. One right after another. We remind each other to be careful opening cupboards so we don’t get smacked by a can of Spam.
Blinkers. No one uses or wants to use them. When someone wants to pass you, they drive up through your trunk, into your backseat, tap you on the shoulder, and whisper, “Tighten your sphincter because I’m going to pass you and cut right in front of you.”
Looking forward to a shorter drive day tomorrow. Going to one of Candy’s favorite stops in the morning. Rise and Roll Bakery.
