Another 400 plus mile day in the books. Beautiful drive with rolling corn fields, grain silos and giant wind turbines. And a butt ton of racoon road kill. Never seen anything like it. Every twenty feet was a dead racoon on the side of the road. One would think the rest of the racoon community would look left and quickly realize they can’t make it. But no. Carnage for miles.

Tomorrow we arrive in Indiana were we will say put for two nights. We are looking forward to some much needed exploring on foot.

Darcy almost got it right. There was a bunch of raccoons napping forever on the shoulder today. Our 2-night stay starts Wednesday, not tomorrow. We got a nice hike in tonight on the KOA acreage at Newton. Nice place.

Rene wouldn’t take a picture of the big road sign that said,” Beaver Crossing.” I thought it was funny.
